A small creature only about a foot tall that build their homes in the Dryad trees. Shue is a young Benong, who decides to leave her family and travel into the unknown where she discovers lots of creatures from the stories told to her by her elders.

This is a story of a young Benong named Shue. After hearing a nighttime story of the life and creatures outside of her peoples community, Shue decides to set out on an adventure into the jungle to recover the Book of Knowledge that had been stolen from their clan. Along the way she meets many jungle beings from the tales of her childhood and learns to trust in her new friends.I enjoyed reading this story. However, it has an abrupt ending that I wish had been given a bit more attention to really round out this adventure.
I believe that the target range of this short story is Young Adult, Juvenile. Yet I feel that the story is enjoyable for all ages.

I was looking around for something new to read and decided to take a look at up and coming authors rather than take my usual route of familiar authors. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least! Although, I'm assuming, written for children it was still enjoyable for all ages. I'd highly recommend this for parents to read to their children, as both the children and parents would enjoy it. The adventures and perils of little shue are very interesting. It's easy to lose yourself in this book, as unfortunately short as it is. I truely hope we'll see more of shue in the future! There was definitely room for more adventure.
